Member Benefits

If you are interested in neurofeedback, quantitative elecroencephalography, self regulation or simply the general neuroscience you should consider membership in the ISNR. Ask yourself:

• Do I want to meet other professionals and students who are interested in neuroscience and neuromodulation, to talk with them about their experiences and share with them some of my own?
• Do I want to learn more about the field and develop my research or practice skills?
• Would I like to have the opportunity to present my ideas to others in a conference setting?
• Would I like to join an organization that reaches out and welcomes new members?

If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, you are definitely in the right place.

Types of Membership

• Professional Member ($ 240 USD): Persons with a degree from an accredited institution in a related field of the sciences or healthcare (e.g. psychology, counseling, medicine, social work, nursing, etc.).
• Early Professional Member (Intern/Post Doc) ($140 USD): Persons in the first or second year following completion of all requirements for a Master's or doctoral degree from an accredited institution in a related field of the sciences or healthcare (e.g. psychology, counseling, medicine, social work, nursing, etc.). This transitional membership category is valid for one year and is not renewable.
• Student Affiliate Member ($80 USD): ): Student Affiliated Members are required to:
  1. Provide a letter from a university that indicates enrollment in a full-time degree program. 
  2. Student IDs will not be accepted as proof of full-time student status.
  3. Once a student has acquired his/her Ph.D., they no longer qualify for a student membership but rather a Post Doc/Intern membership level.
  4. Continuing education coursework taken to acquire or improve job skills along with part-time students do not qualify for an ISNR student affiliate membership. 
  5. One exception will be made for ISNR student affiliate membership … a part-time undergraduate and/or graduate student with a medical disability that is unable to take a full course load.  In this case a letter or email from the school’s Office of Disability Services can validate the student’s status [students that fall into this category include military veterans as well as students with a 504 plan].
• Senior Member (Retired) ($190 USD): Persons who have been a professional member for at least 15 years (does not need to be consecutive) and have reached the age of 65. 
• Corporate Member ($575 USD): Companies, businesses or group practices may join as corporate members.  The Corporate Membership includes the listing of 4 individuals with 2 having voting rights.
• Institutional Member (paid by sponsor organization): Non-domestic (USA) professional member organizations may join ISNR on behalf of its members by paying for a membership on their behalf. Details can be obtained from the Executive Director.  

Benefits of Membership

Active membership status brings many benefits to ISNR members. These include:

• Receipt of the Journal of Neurotherapy—Members receive this scholarly journal for the entire calendar year, regardless of when they joined.
• Receipt of the NeuroConnections --Members receive this newsletter, designed to promote the application of scientific knowledge to the practice of neurofeedback for the entire calendar year, regardless of when they join.
• Online access of the Journal and Newsletter—Members receive the Journal and Newsletter four times a year. Both of these are available online to active members weeks before the mailing.
• Discounted Registration Fees for the Annual Conference—Members can attend the full conference, which features keynote presentations by leading experts in the fields of neuromodulation, neurofeedback, QEEG, biofeedback and related topics to health care, performance, and clinical psychology. There are also lectures by your peers, networking opportunities, and social events.
• Opportunity to Become Involved—Members are encouraged to become involved in the neurofeedback field by serving on committees, participating in special interest groups, participating in the annual conference, and submitting articles to ISNR publications.
• Increase Your Visibility – Members can choose to create an online provider profile that connects you to a worldwide audience. Your member profile is like free advertising; offering details about you and your business and making it easier for potential clients and partners to find and reach out to you.
• Access to the Member Directory—Members have access to the most prominent professionals in the field. Our members opt–in to this directory thus providing their contact information to other members of ISNR and the public.
• Opportunity to Receive Information—Members can opt–in to an email list serve that provides access to other members and experts for asking questions, having debate and keeping informed on developments related to the practice of neurofeedback to  support the mission and goals of ISNR.
• Voting Rights: All membership categories have equal privileges of voice and vote. Only active members can vote.
