Abstracts . . . from Recent Annual Conferences
1997 - 1997 SSNR Annual Meeting Abstracts
1998 - Abstracts 6th Annual Conference Society for the Study of Neuronal Regulation
1999 - 'Ride the Waves Into the Next Millennium' 7th Annual Conference
2000 - 8th Annual Conference "Papers"
2001 - Society for Neuronal Regulation 9th Annual Conference
2003 - 11th Annual Conference 2003 September 18 - 21 Galleria at Houston, Texas
All the hundreds of abstracts of scientific papers from recent annual international conferences remain available. For each year the abstracts are listed by author, not topic.
Reprints . . . from Peer-Reviewed Journals
These six reprints with the full text of the original journal article including the graphics are listed below. Included are empirical studies, clinical reports, and theoretical articles from journals other than the Journal of Neurotherapy (which has all of its principal articles from past years either reprinted or abstracted at this site). The society expresses great thanks to both the authors and to the original publishers for permission to pioneer an additional means of publishing in this way.

Interesting Publications at Special Discounts
Child & Adolescent Psychiatric Clinics of North America, January 2005
Each issue of Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Clinics of North America focuses on a single topic in child and adolescent psychiatry and is presented under the direction of an experienced guest editor. The January 05 volume, entitled, Emerging Interventions, presents brain-based interventions using the bioelectric domain, including EEG biofeedback or neurofeedback, repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation, and vagal nerve stimulation. Each chapter presents a thorough review of the published research and clinical literature in the area, integrated with case discussions when indicated. The January 2005 issue was edited by Dr. Laurence Hirshberg, NeuroDevelopment Center Director, along with two child psychiatry colleagues, Jean Frazier, MD and Sufen Chiu, MD, PhD. The issue includes an article on quantitative EEG in neuropsychiatry, articles on EEG biofeedback for ADHD, anxiety, affective disorders, substance abuse, reading disability and traumatic brain injury, and epilepsy, as well as a chapter presenting a program of systematic fundamental validation research conducted by a top neuroscience team in Great Britain. The volume also includes a chapter on repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation, and vagal nerve stimulation, as well as an overview chapter written by the volume editors addressing the evidence base for these emerging interventions and discussing their role in clinical practice. This journal provides up to date information about the science related to neurofeedback and the range of clinical applications for which there is empirical research. The NeuroDevelopment Center (NDC) has negotiated a special discounted price of $50 from thepublisher when purchased through the NDC website link.
Getting Started with Neurofeedback by John Demos
Getting Started with Neurofeedback provides a practical, balanced, and fineintroduction to the field of neurofeedback. I recommend it as a valuable resource for all new neurofeedback practitioners. -- D. Corydon Hammond, PhD, Professor, University of Utah School of Medicine; Past President, ISNR.
The publisher, W. W. Norton, is offering the book to ISNR members at a 20% discount when ordered directly from the W.W. Norton website. Don't forget to mention ISNR!
The Neurofeedback Book, An Introduction to Basic Concepts in Applied Psychophysiology by Michael Thompson and Lynda Thompson.
This book is written to assist you in understanding the basis of neurofeedback and the fundamentals of how to do EEG biofeedback. Note from the outset that we do not yet know the precise mechanisms by which EEG biofeedback works. Ours is an empirical field based on observed outcomes. This book is now available from AAPB to ISNR members at $79, the same as the AAPB member rate. There may also be additional quantity discounts. Call Tammy Gustin, (303) 422.8436.
